It's somewhat disturbing to detect a theme of irony in the ostensibly random disgraces meted out by the world.

Wait, when... and why?

The 7-day weather forecast here has thunderstorms, but that's all. I sure hope there's no nuclear winter; I've been looking forward to shorts weather for months and IDK if Kohl's sells hazmat suits anyways.

Still awaiting some psychoanalysis but it looks like my new psychiatrist finally agreed. Just discontinued Duloxetine due to hypnic jerks. They weren't too severe until moving to 60mg but at 30mg, I was questioning whether I have ever had that issue before. Haven't had any issues with Risperidone yet so hoping that is all I need. A bit worried about tardive dyskinesia so ideally, I'd like to find a situation where I can just avoid people and discontinue medication.

Apparently, social isolation is bad but I'd never totally isolate, there are just enough aspects I'd like to avoid. Even then, I've never really fit into broad strokes on what works for everyone anyway.

I just started a fruit/vegetable garden a week ago so maybe things are looking up.

I don't recall ever having emotional investment. Not sure if I ever did or was too young to realize what it was before it was lost. I guess one of my biggest struggles is thinking I have this figured out yet most people recognize a change. I guess I have always recognized how I was different, I just never knew how.

I can pinpoint an imperfect childhood but due to an odd optimism, I make the best of any situation. Well, there is also the tumultuous early years that I suspect something went awry, I just don't know exactly what.

So, I have always had something but have always been able to cope and come out OK (or at least thought so in my head). What is different now? Why stop fighting the good fight? Is an unyielding optimism a neurological thing that can be lost? Innocence lost at such an old age?

That's usually why I think this includes some sort of dissociation. I seem pretty far removed from myself, yet, in some aspects, not the case. I lack trust in my own mind. Is that normal?

It's not neurological, but it can be lost.

Many years ago I opted for unyielding pessimism. This way I'm not disappointed as often.

I seem pretty far removed from myself, yet, in some aspects, not the case.

All the time? Or does it come and go?

I lack trust in my own mind. Is that normal?

I would say no. Did you get your psychoanalysis yet?
