Thanks for your kind words. I'm doing OK. My husband and I are going to counseling together. He told the counselor the entire story. It wasn't easy for him and it wasn't any easier for me to sit there and listen to it either.

We have had some major drama happen in our home in the last month. That helped keep my mind off from it.

But, I think we are going to be alright. He's been really sensitive toward my feelings and needs. He's been more like the man I married and not the man he was last month. I think we'll be OK. I hope. I don't want our marriage to end.

Other than this one time, he's been a great husband and he is a terrific father. Wish me luck.

I hope you will be ok too. It's good to hear that he's treating you better. Thanks for the update.

From what you wrote, he seems to feel remorse for his actions. Go with the counseling and see what comes from it. You should give him a chance to change before any "drastic" action is taken.

He might keep abusing her though, or abuse someone else, so her husband SHOULD NOT get a second chance.

How do you figure a husband cannot rape a wife?
Rape is rape if it's unwanted, and whether it's a husband, boyfriend, friend, etc it's rape no matter what... whether there's a marriage or not.

From what I read, you said, he has not done this before. So I am curious why he even has gotten counselling organised? The big thing I would say is why not start with forgiveness. I am a guy and I think we often get it wrong.
