Pick a line from the poem above..

Postby seabreezeblue » Fri Aug 29, 2014 6:09 am

Pick any line from the poem above and use it as the first line of yours..
Your poem can be any length and any style.. from a sonnet to free-verse.

I'll go first by using a line from a poem of my own..

As the faded day tip-toed through the night
dreams of satin
in sands of white..

Twilight dancers
and sands of time..

a gentle song playing
come add a line..
Shine me a light up
and i'll run round the moon..

Thank you! this is very nice i love things like this.

A gentle song playing
silently it goes, nay a whisper
nobody knows what it is saying

now we have found
from long awaited science
that it is a sound

a song of all time being
made by each of us, great small and big
a song of the universe, we are just only seeing
If you don't want people to know about it, don't put it out there.

Think before you post.

^^ yay.. welcome to the thread.. :)

A song of all time being
an echoed swish of wings..

Thunder calls
from drumming lands..

and silence..
..softly sings..
Shine me a light up
and i'll run round the moon..

Thunder calls
in a northern forest
where rusted leaves lie in ancient bracken
A fire burns
in between the trees
where the ground is soft and life is barren

In between the trees
Where the wind blows
Sounds like the ocean
And grows and grows

I turn my soul loose
Let it fly so free
So I can be one
who blows in the trees
DID, BPD, DP/DR

What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

They flow through me, words and blood.
Each with meaning and a longing to be free.
My skin prickles, the surface burns hot and cold.
Crying freedom with silent witness to time.

I turn loose my soul, free of the shackles binding me.
Looking for freedom, from the iron bond of society
The chasm below, draws the light and warmth.
To soar to new suns and drink from pure springs.

I am gone, but not alone, company in my mind.
The gale of masses blows, but I am armoured
A pulse drives me, tempers my rage and pity.
The words, the blood they are quiet for now.

As the faded day tip-toed through the night
dreams of satin
in sands of white..

I cry.

As tall trees bent to the wind,
Strong, mighty gusts
Blowing where they will unknowing.

I hurt.

As robust life, colors and alive,
Streams past my window
With promise they say.

I watch.

You've all written some lovely poems here <3

I watch..

As the warmth of the day turns to the bite of midnight
where the depths of darkness scowl
through the bruise of the tired sky..

I wait..

As the wind pulls the clouds from their beds
and the river welcomes them with chilly arms..

I ache..
Shine me a light up
and i'll run round the moon..

Where the depths of darkness scowl
You try to deflect with light
but the stench it is so foul
it takes all your might

You are a frozen target
and it begins to take its toll
but you cannot fight the darkness
when the dark is in your soul

But you cannot fight the darkness
until you find the light..

You cannot soar on broken wings
or sing through bleakest night..

You cannot see a rainbow
unless you feel the rain..

you cannot whisper dreams through darkness
unless you heal the pain..
Shine me a light up
and i'll run round the moon..
