Hypochondria

Postby Madcowman » Sun Apr 23, 2017 4:56 pm

I am losing a lot of weight from panicking constantly. My ab muscles hurt from contracting, however I made the mistake of looking up colon cancer and now I am convinced that I have it. I have no digestive issues, but my brain is convincing me that I have this cancer. I feel stupid and it is affecting my relationship and work. Any advice on what to do in order to get through this and gain weight back?

Please don't feel stupid. Your brain is just trying to protect you.

I always think the best thing is to get a simple routine blood test so you can get cleared and move on with your life.

Blood tests are inexpensive and it's normal to get one twice a year. You don't need a justification for it. Just ask for a routine blood test.
