Hi,
I was diagnosed with Endometriosis 4 years ago and had 4 operations as a result. However, despite the bits of growths being removed, and being put on the IUD coil, I still suffer with daily pain in my pelvis and lower back.
I suffered SA from the ages of 8-10 and then 13-16 and my doctor's are thinking the pain could be a result of the past trauma? Has anyone experienced this?

I agree. I have fibro and I know it is in part due to the stress I carry in my body. Emotions were "bad" growing up so I stuffed them. Emotional abuse/manipulation. I am 60 and I still carry it. I wish I had accepted the association of pain with trauma when I was younger.
Best, Tracy

I had a couple major surgeries. In fact it is painful even when I look at it. It brings back memories. I had a glass cut on my leg; 63 stitches when I was 9 yrs. old. When I was 18 yrs. old I had it revised because it stretched and looked awkward when I was growing up. I has caused some scarrage and my right leg is slower then the rest of me. I take aspirin for the pain/fever. I take migraine medicine.
I had past sexual trauma which affects my relationships. It is painful to ask a guy out on a date.
I had a traumatic experience at a religious school where the teachers were allowed to paddle the kids. Then, the parents thought it was OK also. I don't like being close to someone out in public because these nightmares resurface and I always think that I am doing something wrong. In fact, I hardly talk anymore because of the way I was raised. I hope that most kids do not have to be subject to harsh boarding school rules and regimens. It can be physically or mentally painful if the schools still allow it.
