medical alert systems

I had an accident a few months ago when I was alone at home. I was in the middle of cleaning my kitchen; my phone rang, and I ran to attend the call, but I slipped and fell, dislocating my shoulder, and my ankle was also in pain. I couldn't move for about 2 hours as I was in a numb state. Somehow I got up and reached the phone to get medical help. Help ...

Sanitary products, environment and other issues...

I'm not overly concerned about the environment in a sense that I know the universe will come to an end at some point, with or without my help but every month I am faced with the issue of whether to use more environmentally friendly feminine hygiene products.

I've even toyed with the idea of making my own. This is also about the cost of such products as well as anything else.

Has anyone here tried ...

why gyno appt?

I had a complete hysterectomy 12 years ago--no cervix, ovaries, or uterus. So why does my dr insist I have a gyno appt? All the gyno does is ask about my sex life which, if it's good with me, then why does it matter? If I had issues I would speak up. Do I really need to keep up with this? I'm 61 years old and want to stop going.

"Strange" menstrual periods?

Hello. I know this forum is not active, but what the hell.

On March 3rd and 4th I had some slight cramping and random brown discharge ("old" blood). On the 5th I started my period and had awful cramps which I remedied and then later on at night they came back. On the 6th and 7th I was still having some mild cramping. And then yesterday (the 8th) I started having some more cramping which ...

Menstrual issues

I've been having a period for almost a month now. My periods have been pretty normal in the past, so it concerns me a little. I am on birth control. Nexplanon. However, I've been on it for years and never had a problem. I wasn't even considering seeing the doctor because I was like it's probably a cyst or hormones, but my family was like it's not normal see the doctor. So I saw the ...

Coping with my health issue

Hi, there! I decided to post here cause I don’t know what actually to do in my situation. I had a surgery in my womb nearly 2 years ago. At first, everything was ok. I had my periods. They usually came in time and didn’t cause much pain. However, nearly 5 months ago I started to have first problems. I started to have some delays between my cycles. In addition, I started to feel some ...

Addicted to certain smells

Hi! I hope it's okay to post this in this forum- I had no clue where it belonged.

I've always liked certain smells but lately, they've become almost addicting.

I can't get enough of sniffing things like spray glue, cheap gas, rubbing alcohol, any cleaning powder/spray, bleach, white-out, sharpies, fabric fresheners, car/air fresheners, car exhaust, rubber tires, nail polish, pine sol, or anything of the sort. They literally make my mouth water and I've come ...

Miscarriage? Do you know about it? ever have Experienced?

Optimistic is the best way to ignore miscarried... But I am only 4 weeks pregnant but I am so paranoid about miscarrying, would I know if I even miscarried? Yesterday, I had some light brownish discharge today which I wouldn't call "bleeding" but I don't know if that is normal.

Can you be aware of an epileptic fit?

I suffer terribly from faint spells, sometimes resulting in actual collapse.

My last actual collapse i called the nhs as i fell backwards, was stiff and my whole body was jerking uncontrollably. I could still see, but i had no control over my body at all. I was quite emotional when i came round through fear more than anything else. It was marked down as syncope/collapse. The doctor i seen at the hospital said it ...
