RAD adoption?

I'm only in my teens so I'm not old enough to adopt yet but I'm asking this because I've wanted to adopt a child since I was like ten years old. I did some reading about RAD and I've heard adoption stories and it can be hard but I wanted to adopt a child with RAD. I know that adoption laws vary but can you generally ask to adopt a child with a specific disorder ...

Lack of feelings, do I have RAD?

Since I was a child, I am a little selfish and don't care about other people's feelings a lot, I used to steal things, was physically aggressive to my mother because she thinks I am a loser, threw my mother's and father's stuff through the window because my mom thinks I'm a loser and my dad called me hot, threw my sister's stuff through the window because I was jealous of her, I think I ...

What type of attachment disorder do I have?

Hi
I am a 34 year old male and new to this site. I have recently come to the understanding that I have a attachment disorder. I was hoping someone could help me pin-point which type.

Growing up (and still) my mother was/is very over-protective and over mothering of me. But, at the same time my father was/is an alcoholic who was abusive towards my mother. He used to come in and out of our ...

types of therapy?

Hi. I have recently been diagnosed with RAD. I've know all my life that I was a loner and didn't have the attachement feelings it looked like others did. So, now I know what it is, but is there any proven therapy for it? I've read about treating children with RAD. Does anyone know what helps with adults?

Is it normal to a RAD to try to kill someone?

I think I was planning to kill my dad, although if I tried to do it, I would not be able to. I caught myself searching for ways to kill. I don't know if I was really considering the possibility of trying to murder my dad or I was just angry and trying to express my anger.
Is this normal?

Do I have Inhibited RAD?

Hi, I'm Jackson, and I'm new to Psychforums...

I'm going to make this short and sweet, but I'm trying to figure out if I have inhibited RAD. I'm been trying to look for a disorder or some type of ailment that fits what I experience, and so far, inhibited RAD has been overwhelmingly fitting for me. I spent most of the day fishing on the net ...

I have no where to turn

Hi everyone

I have a diagnoses of BPD - for some time now I've been thinking I no longer 'fit' this diagnosis. I still have some of the thought patterns and even behaviours BUT that doesn't mean I have BPD.

I had my last session with my therapist this week. I asked her outright if she thought I have BPD. She didn't give me a straight answer (!). She said it was unfair I have ...
