Hi! Shared Story by New Member; NPD/BPD/DID abused partner

Hi, I’m glad to meet anyone here who frequents these forums.

I just decided to begin a new stage, of seeking next-level understanding of my partner’s situation and diagnoses, and anything that could help; and self-help and personal support.

A little about me and the situation: I’m male, 35 - If you want, you can call my Steveo...
For the last nine or so years, I’ve been in a longterm relationship with a woman, aged ...

Narcissism and Children

So I've recently begun to think my ex-fiancee might be a narcissist. We bought a house together in 2017 and it's been a downhill slide since then. I've been accused of creating a toxic household, of not respecting her opinions, excluding her from decisions, making her feel like she's not a "full partner". She left in February because I asked her to - I couldn't take the endless arguments that didn't make sense anymore.

Now, ...

Does this sound like a narcissist or am I off base?

****Trigger Warning**** (Not exactly graphic, but very descriptive of behavior) I know it's long, but please bear with me.

I don't know if this is the type of experience that belongs here, but I was drugged and assaulted by my roommate years ago. I've done a lot of research into what happened, I've been through therapy, and I've come to find out he displayed a lot of narcissistic/sociopathic traits. He was gaslighting me almost from ...

Issues with Sex for Children of an ASPD Parent

I am not sure if this is the appropriate forum to post this, but I am hoping someone can point me to where I can get some additional information on how the pathological behavior (e.g., lack of empathy) of an ASPD Parent impacts the sexuality of a child.

My Father suffers from ASPD so I have always had major issues with intimacy.

I was molested for a brief spell at a young age , and ...

Mother who abused me is now dying of cancer...

Hi guys,

I never thought I would join a forum like this but I literally have no where to turn to, Ive been crying and silently screaming all night. My friends would never understand me, even the one that I trusted to be more understanding judged me which led me to break.. So here it goes.

My mom was abusive, but she was also selective. Of 4 of us siblings she only ever physically abused ...

A multi narcissist hell - and a lifetime of slavery.

My great grandfather was what could be considered an early pioneer. He bought land up on a hill in a time and place that was, at the time considered out of the way. Eventually the area would become highly populated, and the infrastructure of the town built around it.

It went untended for a decade or two, but retained its reputation as something nice. My grandfather began clearing it out and returning it to its ...

Is it time to distance myself from my brother?

I will try to keep this short. I have had two breast cancer dx in less than 12 months. Lumpectomy and radiation, no chemo last year and this year is exactly the same. Both breasts have been affected and a bilateral mastectomy is going to be very welcome.

My brother and I didn't always have a difficult relationship but with the hatred of me by both his ex-wife and now his current wife has ruined ...

Am I in a Narcissistic Relationship

Hi everyone,

I would value some input from those who know more about this disorder than me.

I have been married to my wife for 15 years and its never been an easy one. We have a 9 yo son and she no longer talks to any of her family, or has any friends.

There are the general things she does, like if I want to go out, even if its early evening to play ...
