BPD Ex-housemate

3 years ago I registered in this forum to get an insight on how to deal with my HPD housemate. He moved out shortly after, which was a relieve. My BPD and ADHD housemate went that fall back to university and was quickly overwhelmed.
Just a bit of background: I had bought an old farmhouse and moved in with two housemates who shared the same hobby: ferrets. Both of them didn’t work at the time, ...

HELP! GF With Sudden Anger, Aggression & Delusions?

I have been dating someone for the past 6 months, but have known her for a few years now. I have always known her to have a very upbeat attitude, positive outlook, and stable personality. Additionally, she is someone who is extremely caring and empathetic, puts others first and believes in open, constant communication. She is not someone that angers easily and seems to hold no grudges towards others, regardless of the circumstances. We have ...

Do I need to become a telepath?

I had a long chat with my closest female friend the other night.
And we disagree on A LOT of things. The relationship wouldn't be interesting if we alays agreed.
But suddenly, she cut off the conversation mid sentence.
Then she sent me an angry text: 'I was about to tell you something really personal, but you cut me off, so now I'm downgrading your access to my personal life'
The thing is... I have ...

How did something so minor enrage him so much??

I don’t even know if my husband is narcissistic or ADHD or what. All I know is one simple little thing last night turned into him being pissed! Everything was fine. He came into the living room and we watched tv. He put on this one show that we had never seen before. About 15 minutes into it, it seemed like this wasn’t the first episode as there was a lot of backstory we didn’t ...

Kid in Crisis!

My niece turned 15 this year, and...
We all know the emotional rollercoater that is puberty, but on top of that, she pretty much a genius.
They had trouble testing her because she cracks under pressure, and caught on to more subtle ways of estimating her IQ, but it's AT LEAST 160.
The problem with this girl is that she CAN do anything, but is so afraid to fail she won't try.
We chat for ...

Am I a racist?

I know this can start a flame war, but I have to ask. Am I a racist for taking into account my friends' feelings and opinions based on their country of origin and cultural heritage?
Now off the bat, I thing all people should bhe treated EQUAL, but not THE SAME...
An example: My sister's best friend is Moroccan. When she comes to a family birthday party, I kiss all my sister's friends, but ...

It Takes Someone Special

It takes someone special to be in a relationship with someone with a PD. I've learned I'm not that person. Without going into it, my life is pretty complicated already.

Recently, my ex tried to woo me with love bombing. It has me feeling guarded for when he may pop-up again. We are not a good combination. I've tried directly discouraging him in the past and it fell on deaf ears. This time, I changed ...

HPD? Literary analysis of Anna Karenina

I wanted to share this resource, written quite a while ago by an obviously intelligent person, as it describes Anna Karenina as possibly HPD although I think perhaps BPD or comorbid would be more accurate:

Ah I remember reading Anna Karenina and realizing I had to end things with mine. Didn't make it any easier. Sigh.

Well that was weird.

Long story short (yes, this is the short version).

After a tumultuous 3 years of living together my ex-girlfriend has taken things beyond all recognition.

She has a history of substance abuse. Taking some form of stimulant daily - usually discreetly and after I left for work - we've argued a lot about it.

Jealousy and suspicion in abundance.

We've broken up a few times and each time, within 2 days she's been and slept ...
