How do you live with someone who suffers Paranoia?

Hi all,

I've been good friends with someone who has PPD and we've been living together for nearly 2 years. We did pretty much everything together at the start, including working in the same department. I loved coming home from work and chatting for hours on end with her about life and people and then going out at weekends and socialising.

It's taken me up until the past month to discover what it is that's ...

HPD friend officially "dumped" me

Hey everyone, I've recently been officially "dumped" by my ex best friend whom I think is histrionic. I wrote a thread over a year ago about her. Anyway, after she acted in a way towards me that I found to be unacceptable, I started seeing and talking to her less and less and yesterday she finally asked me what was going on and I only told her I had difficulty trusting her. She first blameshifted, ...

my goals and wishes for the new year (HPD relationship)

TRIGGER WARNING TO PEOPLE WITH HPD OR SENSITIVE PEOPLE. This post started in 2012, before the SOF&F Forum had been created. In light of new developments, and additionally that the subject matter here likely concerns a relationship with a pwHPD, I am respectfully moving this thread to the SOF&F Forum, with a shadow thread left in the regular HPD Forum.

May this thread continue to bring inspiration to Nons and pwHPD in SOF&F...moderator orion ...

Did my ex have PTSD? (Or worse...?)

Hi all

This is the first time I am posting in a forum about this issue. I hope that you can offer me some clarity. For whatever reason, I feel that I need answers to have closure - or at least a recognition that this is not a unique situation I am going through.

10 years ago my ex got injured in a suicide bomb attack when he was in his late teens. He ...

Ex- HPD friends

Moved thread to Significant OthersI went NC with ex-friends who are HPD mixed with other things and when I run into them at various events, they love to flaunt their “perfect” life, boyfriend/husband, friends, etc. If I’m not dressed as nicely or my skin isn’t clear, they won’t say anything, but they just have this smirk on their face. I was the one who stopped hanging out with them, so I’m guessing they are mad ...

NPD with BPD traits...or the other way around?

How do you tell?

I used to think that my ex and mother of my child was a borderline but now I'm not so sure. I keep reading that BPDs are loving and giving, along with all the nutty stuff but my ex is 100% selfish and doesn't do a single thing unless she benefits.

In my eyes now she's a total Narc yet occasionally she showed moments of self doubt, frailty and tenderness. These ...

Moved to Significant Others ForumHello all. This is my first post and Im hoping that it has ended up in the right spot. I recently became involved with a young woman who I feel displays symptoms of HPD. I realize that it is an extremely rare PD, but Im trying to bring some closure to the end of our "relationship".
