Does this sound like someone with NPD?

Hey guys, this may be long.. I've been trying to figure this situation out.

There's this person who called herself my friend.. but has continually behaved in ways that would be more consistent with an enemy.. but kinda gaslights and spins things when I'd question certain behaviors and actions. I'm really thinking she's NPD and when she realized she'd get no financial gain from me... her envious narcness took over. I'll give some examples..

Early ...

Just caught my Dad moving the TV remote into my Rucksack

I have suspicions for a while now he was purposely moving my things. It was strange things mysteriously disappeared when he is around only to re-appear after he found it. Things like my car keys, phone, wallet. All innocent enough, everyone loses them time to time, that's what he relied on me thinking. But when he is around it 10x worse, everything disappears and re-appears somewhere else. Start questioning your sanity.

I just caught he ...

My Narc husband is a vVctim of his Narc Dad...help!

I'd like some advise, on a bit of twist regarding narcissistic abuse! I'm married to a full-on vulnerable narcissist! We were best, best friends and team roping partners for three years before we ever dated. At first I didn't want to date him because he's friendship was valuable to me and I didn't want to risk it. Those three years, he appeared he was very much in love with me (I know, don't say it), ...

Is apologising to someone with NPD a bad idea?

Or rather, is apologising to someone with NPD necessarily a bad idea?

I am taking tentative steps towards repairing a 'friendship' with someone who shows the traits and behaviours of NPD. I haven't jumped the gun in deciding on the viewpoint - the more I read and watched, the more ridiculous it seemed to not conclude NPD was the fair term for how she is.

I had very little idea two years ago when things ...

Seriously, girl?

Every time you think your family relationships can't get any more complicated, life hits you with another gem...
I spoke to my niece the other week, and she told me she had fallen in love.
I thought: 'About time!'
She's 15, going on 16, and it has never happened before.
But then she glossed over it, so I went 'c'mon, you can't just leave me hanging like this. Who is he/she? Did you meet through ...

Advice when Spouse has Depression

My husband and I have been married a little less than a year. He’s not been himself for a while-doesn’t take the initiative to see his friends when I encourage it (they live in a different state), is much less affectionate, we haven’t had sex in almost 5 months, used to give compliments all the time and want to spend one on one time and hardly does now. My therapist just told me my ...

Scapegoat of the family

I know this forum doesn’t get a lot of activity but I can’t sleep and it helps to write these things out.

I’m the scapegoat of my family and it hurts. I’m older and not a kid but I was pretty much raised this way. I believe it’s what’s led to a lot of the shame and low self esteem I struggle with on top of the bullying I was subjected to growing up. Even ...

He's destroying me

I have no clue where to begin, but I do know I need some support. I know the answers, I think I'm just having a hard time putting them into action.

I've been married for 23 years. In the time my husband has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and ADHD. I also believe he is codependent and a pathological liar. He is currently off medication and not seeking any help or therapy. ...

Does my sister need a psychologist or we should just give up

I need help for my sister. I will explain everything in detail below in a while. My question is, does she need a psychologist/psychiatrist or it’s just a waste of time?

My sister is 26 years old and married. She has 3 cute kids. All the kids have very less age gap and all need special attention and care.

She is very stubborn and argues on every little thing even if it’s not her ...
