about my son...

I believe my son has conduct disorder. He is constantly doing things he knows well and good he shouldn't do, yet does it anyway, and doesn't care about the consequences. I'll ask him why he did something, and he says he doesn't know, he just did it. He is also abusive with my cats, and they all hate him. They will claw him to bits and he will just keep on trying to hurt them. ...

Pretending to be someone else online

Hi Guys,
I dont know how to determine my problem, I am a 42 years old mother of 2 daughters ages 22 and 17. it started when my oldest daughter was 16 years old. My husband was already working overseas then, I created a fake Friendster account of my daughter and pretended to be her. I enjoyed chatting and talking to guys so much younger than me and eventually went to online gaming. I exploited ...

10 year-old girl thinks it's funny to hurt animals *trigger*

Is this a wild phase girls that age go through or is this something alarming? The reason I'm asking is because I knew at that age that was wrong. The only thing I've even done is take a bug's wing when I was 5 out of curiosity but afterwards felt bad. I'm sure at the age of 10, you should already know better.

My neighbor kid is a 10 year-old girl who does that. But ...

Mood swings or symptoms of conduct disorder?

I only recently heard of conduct disorder while I am familiar with the symptoms of antisocial personality disorder and the like. I don't know if it could be paranoia or something causing me to feel this way, but sometimes I suspect that I could have the symptoms of conduct disorder. I am trying to see if I actually do have some of the symptoms of conduct disorder (though I do not always ...

diagnosed with CD

I made a post in the bullying forum so go read that and then read this or do whatever you want,

I was diagnosed because I don't give a ###$ about the rules and I guess that makes me sick in the head or something but I don't feel that way at all so I just laugh at it,

I really don't understand why this is considered a disorder at all.. I'm happy with the ...

Hate Hate Hate (edited)

I'm a much better writer than this, but I just have to let off some steam.

Sorry if I violate forum rules with gratuitous profanity, but I need to express how I feel.

I hate society.

Sometimes I feel like killing people, but I have absolutely no intention of acting on these feelings. I hate all the #######4 and the formalities we have to put ourselves through, in order to get anywhere. I hate the ...

I use distractions to avoid moving on in my life

I was an exculpatory student early in life, recognized by TIP, a talent identification program sponsored by Truman University; I had scholarship opportunities arriving in 7th grade. I started drinking around age 11 and by freshman year of high school had tried a large array of drugs, mostly psychedelic in nature. At the time, and even now some, I felt as though they expanded my awareness and evolved my "outside of the box" thinking. I ...

Turning aggression inward

Hi, I'm an adult who was diagnosed with childhood-onset conduct disorder by age 9, in addition to pervasive developmental disorder (under the DSM-III) and ADHD. I've always had a problem with aggression, but I think since becoming an adult I've turned that aggression inward, engaging in self-harm to provide an outlet for my anger. How have other people handled this?
