What do you score on the Maladaptive Covert Narcissism scale

Postby thelivinghell92 » Fri Nov 09, 2018 12:48 am

https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/be ... introvert/

Scroll down the page and rate each statement from 1 (very uncharacteristic or untrue, strongly disagree) to 5 (very characteristic or true, strongly agree).

I scored 77 which is above average apparently (mid-60s is average).

I don't understand the preoccupation with online PD tests on these forums. There is no validity to the tests themselves, and they're self-administered, so there is also no objectivity. Hence, no value.
I’d gladly settle for a false impression,
If it would last a little longer, though

Scored a 91, but grain of salt and all of that.

I got 106. Nothing new under the sun. Also, the result is similar to other online tests I've done. Should really stop doing these pointless tests, though.

Last time I took the test I scored in the 90s range; I don't know who, or what I am because of the identity disturbance, or why I have underlying self-esteem issues or even why I have a disavowed sense of entitlement. I just have it, I guess. It's a pretty scary thought for me that I'm a narcissist but I've sort of come to terms with the fact, and besides, according to that page most college students score in the mid-range on the scale, so I'm not exactly alone here.
BDD and vulnerable narcissism.

63. I'm quite introverted and sensitive but most definitely not a "covert narcissist". My sensitivity is diffuse and not just re: sensitivity to insults or slights.
