I weight 230 pounds, I want to get rid off them to get healthier. Is it possible to diet on no more than fruit and cooked vegetables? Also is there any risk, of getting diabetes in the process? I mean considering fruits, contain sugar.

Hi, Duncann! Have you talked to your doctor about this? It's probably the best and safest way to find out if you can get diabetes or some other health problem.

I am so happy that you are trying to lose weight, its actually really easy if you try hard.
My opinion is that everyday have 2 serves of fruit and 5 serves of vegies,
that's what my doctor advised. Good luck!!!

RAW Fruits and vegetables whether its boiled or raw does't matter are very helpful for our fitness and weight loss.Because eats these we save from junk/fast food which caused to fat or weight gain.I mostly use fruits and vegetables for my practical life because i do gym and gym requires these kind of diet.

I also agree that fruit and vegetables are great source of energy and provides great solution to loosing weight. Thus they must be consumed regularly in order to loose weight effectively.

Fruits and green leafy vegetables are effective for losing weight.They are rich in nutrition and have good taste.They are effective whether you eat in raw or boiled.

Really nice talking about Fruit, and vegetable weight loss, and also really nice above comments, guys, i also want to say something about this topic, according to my personal view, fruit and vegetables are great source of energy and provides great solution to loosing weight. Yes fruits and vegetables are good for the weight loss purposes.
Fresh fruits and raw vegetables burn the fat and control the bad level of the cholesterol to maintain a healthy weight. Citrus fruits and green leafy vegetables are more important for the weight loss purposes.
