Only eat 1200 cals and burn 1800 still gaining weight.

Postby Mrwolf » Mon Oct 31, 2016 11:21 pm

Ive been on a 1200 cal diet for a year with an exercise plan that burns 1800 to 2000 cals a day. I have put on almost 50 pounds in the last year.

Is this a metabolic issue or could my psych med (latuda 120 mil 2x a day chloropromazine 100 mils a day) be causing this?

Starving oneself doesn't work for diets. Your pills might have something to do with this; you could ask a doctor or pharmacist.

What causes our bodies to gain weight? What is the physical mechanism that does this? It is known to be hormones, especially insulin which drives our bodies to store fat. Sugar drives insulin which then stores fat. Cut out the sugar, starches, and eat more fat and protein, lots of vegetables and see what happens. Forget about the calories. It's obviously not working.

What more proof? Try going to Mark's Daily Apple website. Good luck.

Yes, Starving yourself is not a proper solution. You should follow an adequate and balanced diet plan. Moreover for excess fat cardio is best.
