Okay, here goes.

I'm not sure where I belong on this board. I've been dealing with depression, OCD and social anxiety... or hiding from it... for most of my adult life. I say hiding from it because I managed to hide it from everyone until about 3 years ago when I started having panic attacks and lost my job over it.

And that was fine... I got it. That was something I could get my hands on and deal with... cognitive therapy and drugs. Then, about 2 months ago I had what my family refers to as Black Friday. Something inside my brain snapped and I woke up the next morning in the local mental hospital.

For about 8 hours I believed with the full weight of my being that I was the new messiah. I had such a massive delusional episode that I was committed involuntarily for fear that one flew over the cuckoos nest. The next morning, I was fine. A little disturbed, but unharmed. The doctors put me on anti-psychotics and I spent a week there.

After a week, they figured I was fine. I figured I was fine. We went our separate ways and I went on being a little insane, but with a new label of "psychotic".

So anyone who can point me to a group for that or a forum... please, I'm flailing about in strange waters. They don't have a real diagnosis, despite 3 shrinks, 2 physicians, a therapist, and a crisis assessment team.

Newbie here. I am LilScrapper. I have just awaken yet again in my life to realize that I let someone again abuse me. Not physical this time, but emotionally and mentally. I have spent most of my adult life allowing men I am envolved with, stepdad and some male friends do this in some form. I am one to always champion and fight and argue with my friends when I see them in a destructive relationship and try to help them by listening, giving them advice if needed or helping them get the heck out of it.

It's frightening to wake up and realize that you yourself have let this happen to you. I thought I was doing something wrong in the relationship and that was why we fight and argue. But I came to realize that earlier this week and to really acknowledge it that my husband is a verbal abuser. He will scuff at those words and think that I am full of it. He knows there is truth in them, but I know will not do anything to change this.

I know have to decide if I can get him to realize what he is doing or its the end of our marriage. This is our second chance in our marriage, I called it quits last year and we decided to try again. I seriously doubt I will be able to get him to see and it breaks my hear to realize that I might have to walk away from a man I dearly love and I know that loves me, but he doesn't see himself doing any wrong. We've been married for 6yrs and together for over 9yrs.

Welcome guys/gals.

LilScrapper73, you only get one shot at life. As difficult as they are to make, big decisions should not be shyed away from. If you are in an abusive situation, then do your utmost to be free of it. I know how difficult it is, but be swift and 'ruthless' in how you break free. You, I, and everyone else here have no time to waste, as our lives are ticking by.
