So what is it, no more off-site avatars? Not even with direct links?
I seem to remember seeing somewhere on here a menu of usable avatars. You know, sparkly unicorns and boring nature scenes.
Is this the price we must pay for security? What have things come to?
Somebody call the police.

That was a message placed on the Psych Forums website, yesterday. The off-site avatars aren't showing for anyone. Maintenance.

When can we get our avatars back?
I feel identity-less...

Yes there are no images of the parietal cortex or Lars Von Trier in the gallery.
Otter mentioned it was temporary?

Hi,
Unfortunately remote avatars are not compatible with secured site (padlock in the url bar which say all the communication are encrypted). The fact is that having an unsecured link (which here are the avatar link) in a secure page is breaking the overall page security and is therefore disabled now. Sorry for that.
Best regards,

So far I've counted two users who have an avatar up that I have yet to find in the gallery.
I'm getting mixed signals here. AllanZed says "not compatible" and quietgirl says "we are looking into it" and I could swear Otter said somewhere that avatars are down "for now" .
If avatars are no more, I'm sure we'll all get used to it, but still, some closure would be nice.

I want my devil avatar back.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
