I feel sad but I'm sure I'll get over it. It will be nice if we could get avatars back at some stage if there was a way to make it secure.

I'm wondering if it's a financial consideration. Would you be willing to put up with more ads if it meant getting avatars back? I might.

At some point, remote images from a secure site might be usable again, but that's in the indefinite future and I don't have a timeline to give anyone. In the meantime yes, things are a bit bleak around here and we'll have to make do with what we have. I know we're all very attached to our avvies.

Yeah I want it back, too, it's one of the more interesting ones. Like Naps' book cover.

Maybe sometime, not right now though. We're just going to have to suffer for the time being without our self-extensions and see what the future holds.

Well there is a glimmer of hope after all.

At least we can still post images. If that stops, I fear people will flee PF like a sinking ship.

It's really not that bad, the whole avatar thing. I'm over it. Not that I don't want them back, but they're really not the reason everybody is here.

No, it's not the end of the world, but like y'all, some of us on the mod team are very wrapped-up in our avvies, so if there's any change on this issue we will let y'all know.
