Yes, I’ve done ect for a round of treatment. I did 11 sessions then started freaking out and left the clinical smell the cold anathesia. It worked for what I was trying to do which was to jump start my mind I regret not doing a few more sessions since I was beginning to respond but it’s not permanent but it definitely knocks something loose that gets chemicals flowing again properly.

My uncle was helped by ECT and a partial lobotomy. This was in the 1950's and the science has come a long way since then. He was a U.S. Marine that had to forget the horror on the beach of Iwo Jima. War can do that to people.
He was functional after that. It was all they knew how to do in the 'dark ages' of psychological trauma therapy.
There is a discussion of ECT here. Many still fear electric shock, but it is safe and may be the last chance at recovery for many medication-resistant patients:

Best of luck to you. :D

Well, I have fragments from my vacation in Thailand 2005, and my placement 2006, also big things that happened like 9/11, and things like that.

But I wrote on a local forum, about 25 000 posts since 2002. And it's still going on, so I can look back and try to remember things.
