Yesterday I finally really explained to my therapist about my childhood sexual abuse. I've been seeing her weekly for 3 months and she's awesome, but she really didn't understand my core issues (because I couldnt talk about it before. Actually, I still can't talk about it, but I was able to write it and let her read it.) So now she's given me a workbook for survivors and I started it today. I finally feel like I might actually get somewhere!

I love the idea of this forum! I am proud of myself today because I have gone through this whole term so far without needing to contact my doctor about any anxiety. I'm trying really hard to use what I've learnt in the past to help me cope on my own

I'm proud of myself because for the most of my life i've been the mature, trustworthy friend who always tried to keep in touch with the rest of my friends. And i ALWAYS appreciated all my friends. To those who didn't appreciate me, i'm proud i'm not like you.

Instead of holing up in my flat and doing drugs or sleeping all day (or both), I managed to make it to the library and read 120 pages. Barely a dent in the work I have to finish before finals, but after stress spiralling and subsequently missing class these past few weeks this felt like a huge improvement.

Made it to 25 years.

I wonder if I'm the original me right now, or a different me from an alternate universe.

Today I took a step forward - I caught the bus & went on the longest journey I've taken since becoming ill, in order to get to a group. It may not sound like much, but I feel like I've achieved something even though I was nervous! And my best friend texted me to say how proud she was of me, which was very nice!
