The vicodin was making him hallucinate. It got so bad her couldn't tell what was real. He had to go in to detox. But the shrink there said he would lose his license to practice unless he got treatment for his NPD and depression.

Never met grumpy people before? He aint aspd. He dont like people but i dont think he has a mental disorder just because he dosent follow all the social rules. Often when someone is different society wants to diagnose them but i think society fools itself when doing that.
Take me as an example. Ive been sendt to different shrinks in my life who all try to brainwash me into something they view as ideal based on their teachings, upbringing and experiences. But im different and i have no problems with myself unless people make it out to be a problem.
Anxiety disorders is a problem. Psychosis is a problem. Being severely depressed is a problem. Being an addict is a problem, and apparently being yourself is now a disorder to. Its like a f'ing witchhunt.

Diagnosing House is a waste of time but i do get why its a problem for someone to understand. Its just that.. He is just different.
House is just an asshole. Only temporary cure is ecstasy

I understand you, but He always had a problem with his father. House complaines about how wonderful was his father with everybody except with his own family. I agree with you that he probably hasn´t a disorder but it´s clear that he has a lot of problems showing his real feelings with the only exceptions of Ecstasy and his friend (I can´t remember his name).
Remember when he didn´t want Foreman to leave the hospital. House takes a lot of time and effort to say him "Don´t go".

Its probably difficult for him as he never learned and cared to learn how to deal with situations like that but calling it a disorder is alittle to harsh in my point of view. People who are interested or work in psychology are alittle quick on the trigger and loose the bigger picture of things which is probably why some people belive he has something and want to diagnose House.
