The Bad Christmas Thread

Are you devoid of Christmas spirit? Triggered by the holidays? Sick of buying presents for people you can't stand? Terrified of Santa?

Post about it here.

This happened to me, the one and only time I cooked xmas dinner ( some years ago).

Apart from the stress of the oven being too small, I felt ill from the worst hangover of my life.
When the couple I went to so much trouble for arrived, they announced they were vegetarian !

Three Christmases ago, I'd spent 40 straight days in a hospital with a very sick relative.

I'd slept on a hospital cot the entire time.

We got home just before Christmas and there was no way I could celebrate.

So I hung some tinsel and bows on a ficus plant in a room, and called that our tree.

Yes, naps. Joyful this year.

Lovely tree. Some presents. Health still ok, and feeling happy.

And yes. Total surprise due.

Thanks for the card and the feelings I know are behind that, you sentimental fraud.

I am sorry but I really like Christmas. However, my cats are going to destroy my Christmas tree and it is possible they are going to destroy others too :D
