Nothing works, desperate!

Hi there everyone and thank you for reading. I am desperate for help!

I have chronic insomnia and OCD linked to bedtime rituals.
I have tried meditation, yoga, exercise, hypnosis, and reflexology.
Medication I've tried is phenergen, melatonin, 5htp, valerian root, montomercy cherry.
I've used lavender, cut out caffeine, I have done everything with sleep hygeine I can.

I just cannot sleep. I can't stop the rituals, and even when I do I cannot sleep. I physically do not get sleepy or fall into sleep. I am struggling so much. There are times I am lying there awake and my thoughts get very dark. I just can't function anymore.

Please, please help <3

I’m sorry this is happening to you Flowerchild90. Try a warm bath with epsom salt & taking a magnesium supplement before bed. You might also consider asking your medical provider to order a sleep study. Good luck.

I've had insomnia my whole life and aside from prescription meds, the only thing I've found that seems to help is magnesium. there's a specific type that helps with sleep/relaxation, glycinate. sometimes called bisgylcinate. I take it an hour or two before lights out and I definitely notice the difference in my quality of sleep.... especially if I stop taking it for a while! I hope that helps.
