My 13 Years Old Lab Is Gone

Postby codepency » Mon Nov 01, 2010 4:25 am

Yesterday evening my 13 years old lab is gone. Her name was Sisil. I'm very sad after she's gone. I haven't eat nor sleep until now. It is remarkable when someone say to me that me and sisil was very lucky to be able to hold on for 13 years. It is rare for a lab to reach the age of 13 they said.

Anyway, I don't know what to do now. Absolutely have no idea. My days without her is hard.
Just want to share this feeling here.

I am so sad for you loss. Animals are such an important part of our lives, and when they go, it is a huge loss.
Give yourself some time to grieve. When I my cat Harley died after 16 years, I painted a rock with his picture, name and date of his death on it. I have kept it now for 7 years as a reminder of him. I had to have something as a reminder of him in my home.
Perhaps that might be an idea for you. do you have a nice picture of him? Perhaps getting it professionally framed with his name on it would be a gesture of your love for him?
With Sorrow,

Go straight out a get a new pup, nuke the pain buy giving a new pup some love. They may smash up your house but hey it will turn out cool for you in the end.

Codepency, I am so sorry for your loss. I can tell you that a dog living 13 years is quite a feat, you must have taken amazing care for her-that is what is important, that you remember that you gave her your best and a great life. I wish you luck and offer my condolences.
