Missing cat, not helping my current state

Postby Mango » Sun Oct 25, 2009 4:38 pm

One of mine & my mom's most beloved cats is missing & has been missing for a a little over a week.
I look for her everytime I'm near a door or window, expecting to see her coming up the steps.
There is some hope though, we've long been suspicious of her possibly two-timing us with a family up the road. She's disappeared before, but never this long. Nevertheless it still hurts & it's insult to injury, I've been having other surfacing feelings along with this, (post300537.html#p300537) and all I want right now is to pick her up & take her to my mom & say "I found her! She's okay!"
I dreamt lastnight that I found her, I was calling her out by our dirt road & looked around & there she was, I ran over & grabbed her up & ran as fast as I could to the house with her in my arms.
I could feel that empty loss in my chest being filled as I carried her & showed her to my mom.
And the thing is is that now I really AM expecting to see her coming up the front steps, I feel like she's still here, and she'll be home soon. Whether or not that was just a wishful thinking dream I don't know, but at least for now I feel some peace.

Yo Mango, it's good to get a chance to talk to you again. I get so busy here that I sometimes lag behind keeping up with people. You have been a good person so far since you joined here though, and it truly saddens me to see that you're faring a little worse off now. I lost two cats when I was much younger and I actually cried when one of them left. Let's face it: We love them - pets I mean. They might carry fleas an such, but they're so adorable and loving. Where have you searched for your cat? You should put notices up around the place to raise awareness.

Thanks Chucky, she still hasn't returned but I'm dealing with it better now. It just really sucked that it had to happen at that particular time you know?

Yes, and cats are very lovable creatures too - I understand. Have you checked the animal shelters around the place?
