Advice when Spouse has Depression

Postby whiterose121 » Wed Mar 04, 2020 8:15 pm

My husband and I have been married a little less than a year. He’s not been himself for a while-doesn’t take the initiative to see his friends when I encourage it (they live in a different state), is much less affectionate, we haven’t had sex in almost 5 months, used to give compliments all the time and want to spend one on one time and hardly does now. My therapist just told me my husband might not “have the capacity for marriage” which I disagree with. Any advice in general for being married to someone who’s depressed? He’s been on Zoloft for a month now and is improving a bit.
