Hi Amythyst people,

You guys were really brave to bring that stuff up with your T, and it sounds like it went well, and that she thinks you're doing a good job.

thanks MDs & thanks Gang!

our T called us this morning to ask us to switch to video session today but it was her calling not her staff so that was good. it still triggered Ciara out front when Ts name came up on the display & weve been blendy & barely able to function since then but its not the Ts fault.

actualy she let us decide between video session & inperson but inperson had to be at a different location so ciara & Em decided video was better cos driving to a different location was too big a challenge for us today.

last week when we mentioned about having to talk to the mother on the phone we forgot to mention the worst part of that whole thing.

she sent us an email & said if we didnt call her she was gonna call the police & ask them to do a wellness check on us. which like, is pretty much the worst possible thing. like call the cops & tell them you want them to chec on someone whos "mentally ill" cos your worried for their safety or something? weve read so many accounts of the cops just showing up & shooting the person theyre supposed to be checkign on cos they assume 'mental illness' means 'violently dangerous' & dont care if they're ######6 triggering or whate ver when they storm in?

so em told the mother she was basiccaly threatening to get us killed or shot or w/e and todl her to never ever do that.

shes that age of stupid selfcentred white woman who doesnt think of anything other than her feelings & what she watns tho & like who knows if shel even remember any of that. she never cares what we ask or what our boundarys are anyways

sorry for ranting

got upset again thninking abot it

Can you talk to your T about this and find out what your options are? It might be possible for you or maybe the T (with your permission) to contact the police and preempt this tactic.

Maybe you can report that she's unstable, and has been threatening to call the police if she doesn't get a phone call from you. That can't be an appropriate way to use wellness checks. Maybe if you call them first and ask them to do a wellness check on HER it will make her think twice? Idk.

Another idea is to tell her that if she EVER calls the police on you like that, you will absolutely never call her again.

Also, wtf--I thought you lived in Canada where it's civilized. Do the police do that $#%^ up there also???

thankyou Gang

we're not sure yet if we can talk to our T about it but its on our mind to try

and yeah canada is maybe not as bad as other places but its still bad
if you call 911 and ask for an ambulance but mention mentle helth the send cops not ambulance
and here in ontario (cant say too much cos politix) they recently did something with law to give police even more power vs mentally ill people

**** triger warning death police violence ****

and just last year (or earlier this yer) the police were called to 'wellnes check' a black woman & wound up shooting her like 20x or something in toronto

*** end trigger warning ****

theres enuf instances of cops here doing that to make it a thing we worry about

(i wish this board had spoiler code so we could hide trigery stuff behind a black bar, like click-to-reveal kinda thing)

anyways we do videosession soon so we hafta go
