MT....parent targeting one child...MT

Postby kittenspuppies » Tue Jun 12, 2018 12:00 am

The psychiatrist I last saw a few years ago said that it was not unusual for a parent to target just one of their children - so that that one child suffered abuse while siblings did not.

I spoke with my brothers and they did not experience what I did. My father's contempt was solely directed at me.

Did you find that you were targeted and your siblings were spared?

Yes, to an extent. The abuser did their best to turn all of us against one another so there was some emotional abuse among all the siblings, but after some probing, it seems that we are the sole receptacle of other abuse types. Considering that communication between siblings is still very difficult, I may be wrong, but this is what I have gathered.
Dx: DID, CPTSD, depression.
Three known alters remain.

I'm sorry, it seems that I can't use spoiler tag here....

It is not official, but I consider him as a psychopath.....thanks to him I have childhood memories where my mother and brother being abused by him. Seeing him knock my brother lips till bleed. Punched my mom till she cried and screamed.

He treated us like collections....He hates my brother. My mom said he did not want my brother, because he is a boy. That's why I was his golden kid.
There was more going on. But I can't tell the detail....

I was about two or three, I still remember few of it(mostly the bad ones)
