We're new here so introducing ourselves...

R- body age, 21. The current host. Housewife and mum to our daughter, age 10 months. Proud parent but insecure, writer/artist by profession, in recovery from anorexia.
Liliana- nearly 13 (12 sounds so young!) the epitomy of Spoilt Brat and proud. Flirtatious, preppy, girly. Cher from Clueless is her idol.
Mia- age 4, happy-go-lucky, I REALLY LOVE DINOSAURS DINO DINO DINO T REX YES also Mia loves Tedder and Colouring and My Little Pony and DINOS and shorts and CRAFTS bye Mia go now
Faye- Anorexic. Defiantly not recovering, so you can imagine how that goes down with R... She doesn't share much, mostly tries to direct us. Critical, protective, defensive.

James, we're wondering about one of your subsystems:

James (Anna, James, Ryan, and Adrie)

Does this mean that there are two different Jameses, the one inside the subsystem and the one that encapsulates this subsystem? And since James is also your forum username, does it represent your entire system, thereby signifying a third James?

This is why we could never have nested insiders. The very idea makes us woozy.

What's the difference between executive officer and administrator?

OC serves as a moderator for group discussions, records information, monitors system rules (and sanctions rule breakers)

Snow intervenes in situations of extreme conflict and distress, she makes executive decisions which seem cold, calculating, ruthless even. but the ultimately ensure system survival and stability.

Tom (Keeper tracker) works closely with OC on communications and inner field work. where she operates centrally. he is on the move. snow doesn't pay attention to daily humps and bumps. she is the big guns.

the big suprise is that li'l b is much, much more than "a little".
she holds a lot of power and is central to system functioning.

I wish I knew away to include the pictures my team has chosen to represent themselves but I am not so tech savvy. maybe I could post a link to some photo Flickr snap a zap type photobook. but dang. I just don't know about that stuff.

and a new little I do not know....other than to choose a picture and label it "i am here"

i neglected "me" in my roster. I always forget her. me is not myself. I am B. it is the name/identifier she has chosen for herself. me is mostly lost so probably why she gets missed on roster line up and roll call.

it was really interesting to see my inside choose visual representations of themselves.

Thanks for clarifying. We've always seen these two functions as one and the same: running the meetings and being in charge. No wonder nobody wants to run the meetings.

This is not to say that we don't believe in delegation. But we always envisioned the "authority figure" as having defined functions: being at the top of the delegation chain; running the meetings; and breaking any tie votes. And age = authority = responsibility. Don't get us started on that one.

A lot of systems have a kid like that. It's a phenomenon that we call The Kid Who Knows Everything. (Actually, we don't call it that; we just made it up, but you get the idea.)

That would be great, but Flicker may have a clause in their TOS that prohibits people from uploading stuff that they didn't create. What you need is a file-storage/sharing site that allows the display of images. We use Box.com. They have free accounts available. Once you upload your images to a folder, you can create a link to that folder (make sure to set it to be viewed by anyone with the link).

In your system, what's the difference between a protector and a defender? We'd never heard the term "defender" used until Sam started using it here, but we assume it means the same as "protector." (Sam, if you're reading, please feel free to clarify.)

We have Sophie, who's eight and was originally known as "I Dunno." The one we keep forgetting in roll call is willow, who's five and a half, and used to spend all of her time under a willow tree in an isolated area of the grounds. She's progressed to the point of sitting at the perimeter of the backyard and watching the other kids play....some of the time.
