We went to the doc for some stuff, and ended up having a real obvious switch so I was put in charge of telling him about us. He was pretty understanding as far as docs go, and he prescribed us zyprexa and said he "highly suggests that we take it". He said it will calm stuff down in here (silence our voices, decrease switches). I'm on the fence about it and Alex and Birch are horrified the suggestion to medicate us was even made.

Anybody got any experience with this drug? We're a bit worried how it will affect us because our system works in pairs, and our original (The Other) is dead, so it's not like this can restore us to her or whatever, like in cases of systems that still got their original host.
We wouldn't mind some input and/or personal experiences with the stuff before we go ahead and take some.

Just read some journals/logs from people taking it, that s**t sounds like f***in' poison. Unless I hear something d*mn good about that stuff, it ain't goin' in this body. :?

I have no idea if this was even remotely true but there was a worker where we were in-patient who specialized in DD's and DID specifically and said that it can have massively bad effects on a DID patient because of something in the front of the brain, regulating memories or something. I can't remember what it was right now (a bit spacey sorry) but that's all I know. It's the only psychotropic drug I've ever taken and I took 3 pills before quitting. I know some people have a good experience though. Individual as with anything, I should assume. Good luck :)

i feel like every time i open my mouth i make things worse, and cause people worry.
still really overwhelmed by everything, but somehow today it seems manageable enough to survive through. the doctors appointment sort of helped. at least we were believed and might be one step closer to diagnosis, so if everything else fails, at least people in our future might be able to understand things better. feel like crawling into a hole and staying there for a bit.

sorry for making anyone worry.

Don't be sorry!
It's OK to worry about other people! We're happy to read that you're a bit better :D
Again there's no need to be sorry, we (the people in the forums) are here to support others, if we didn't want to worry about others we wouldn't have joined the forums! :D
I hope you get better and better! :D
