Alters and drugs.

Does anyone have experiences where certain alters come out depending on something like a medication?

I'm afraid the best I can relate is a certain medication that caused extreme depression and moodiness that I was taken off a little while back. It was interesting because I wasn't even aware of what it was doing to my system, but when I was on it M pretty much ran the show. Probably because he came into being during a time when I (Ithrean) was severely depressed and being abused.

I'm sure there are others here who can comment on more specific medications and the side affects on alters and such.

me and jay tend to come out when anyone smokes pot... but we try to come out all the time anyway, enjoy cohosting (which pot makes cohosting easier), and we also just really like smoking pot... so im not really sure thats exactly what your talking about, but...

Yes, most of us hate being stoned so when we smoke pot, there's 2 alters that come out to be stoned.

cassandra's bipolar meds, i think lamotragine or something, would block us out, make her feel emotionless and hollow, and it would make all of us fuzzy, and it'd block out the inner world to cassandra too


when we took claunodine i think it was called to help with sleep, it made us really foggy and made it really hard for cassandra to hear us and stuff



almost all of us smoke marijuana to help anxiety, or depression, or ptsd stuff, or insomnia, or some alters use it to help them eat, stuff like that

smoking marijuana also usually helps with DID stuff like being coconscious or makings switches easier and making communications easier and clearer, and making cohosting easier, stuff like that



l.c., luna, i think shay, and me, and cassandra, and phenix, like LSD. l.c. and luna like it the most i think. others like rain like aspects of it, like how it can make you think and such, but they wouldn't take it themselves, though they're ok with l.c. and luna taking it

when on lsd/acid, for the most part it's usually the twins l.c. and luna that are mostly out

but it can help us not worry about stuff, like switching whenever, not worrying about who's out, stuff like that. just going with the flow and such.



that i know of, all of us like molly/MDMA (not same as ecstasy. is the "pure form" of what ecstasy was supposed to be. usually "cut" with vitamins or herbs. was originally developed to help with relationship counseling since one of the effects is it helps people to open up and such)

molly is like marijuana but even more so

it helps everyone share stuff like feelings and thoughts

it helps everyone be co-conscious with each other or even all co-hosting at the same time

it helps communications

it's just an awesome experience and helps a lot of stuff with us




as for drinking, l.c., damone, and marie like/prefer beer

kat, valera, dallas, and phenix like/prefer hard liquor/alcohol (though phenix and dallas will drink anything, beer or liquor)

cassandra will drink either, but there's very few beers she likes

rain pretty much never drinks but she'll have a fruity drink once in a blue moon, like an appletini or something.

when we're drinking, it's almost always just the older ones that drink that are out and that will be around. so it can help them have a little break sometimes and enjoy themselves.
