We made it to one of our favourite places this morning..It does seem to be making more noises. The guy said something about motor and axle not lining up completely ... I'm not sure what he means..Kit knows...she said we'll wait until money goes in (bank) and get a full service with motor and axle replaced before winter but hopefully should be ok for now.

Boiler servicing due tomorrow so finishing sorting kitchen today. as will have to be out so early because schools go back tomorrow too and want to avoid school/work rush traffic and get back to wait for engineer. They wont give a time just between 8am-5 or 6pm I think ..so a long boring day just watching out for someone coming! (unless they come here first!).

We have something to look forward to at weekend now..Bro texted us to ask if we want to join them for a BBQ so we'll let Suki go to that..scooter won't be needed and be people around to help. They enjoy deciding what to wear and putting make up on etc

Hope your doctors appointment goes well

Hi,

The appointment went very well. The doctor we talked to listened to us, but more than that, she understands how someone who is autistic can have issues with food. She also believes (and we agree) that many eating issues can be caused by trauma. She actually got to see us dissociate mid-appointment. She's happy with how we are progressing, and has offered to help with anything that our primary care provider may have issues with. She does want us to talk to a dietician just to make sure that we're not missing anything with regards to our diet.

Overall, a huge positive.

Bye for now,

I'm glad it went well, sounds like your doctors are much more efficient and understanding than ours!
Having a rest day today (other than hanging some washing out before it gets too hot so we can wash what Suki wants to wear at the weekend)

The temperatures are awful here again...we're just not used to it here, especially those of us that have never been abroad in our lives!

Engineer didn't turn up until mid afternoon yesterday when it was 27c here normally I'd have been laid down or in a cool room playing Zelda (if it was Bobby/Kit that was out) Today and tomorrow is meant to get to 29c up here and over 30 down south. Mr Woof can have a pool day in the garden today! (Its only a child's paddling pool so it not out there all the time, only when we have the energy to fill it and play out with him for a while!). It's meant to be cooler sunday and he (bro) has a shaded patio area in his garden so we should be fine for that if we just take it easy for 2 days.

Anyway best go get those clothes hung out to dry. Hope everyone has a good weekend

Saw a movie today. It was fun but ... we don't like going to movies anymore, since it usually means we are usually with parents and we do not like them. The movie was pretty mediocre, anyway.

Out in the living room half watching weird late night TV. I'm the only one home. Parents went to do a dinner thing. * TW - discussion of eating, skipped meal * I didn't have any dinner... I think maybe I am just being picky but it feels like there's very little in the house right now I can eat. It's hard for me to make food because of my disability. And I can't go out and get food. I can order but I don't make income enough to really justify any DoorDash. I'll be okay - part time job tomorrow has lots of bagels to eat. * TW end *

Some weird things happening system wise. I don't wanna get into it. It's just kinda scary. And I can't talk about it to my T really-- she isn't a specialist in DID. She wouldn't get it. I can't research either because someone in system forbids me. Which ... makes me think even more I'm right about what's going on. So that's... a thing.

Going to bed in about half a hour. I hope everyone else is doing well or at least holding on.

We went on a trip and did some fun things, but also came down with Covid, so we've been sick with that for the past 4 or 5 days. It was kind of hard to be sick and staying in a hotel. We thought it was just a cold at first, but then yesterday we tested. We had to wear a mask all day today on the airplanes and in the airports, and it was really uncomfortable to be so congested and drippy under a mask. Hope other people have been having a better day. :(

Hi TGAH folks! I'm glad you all got to go on a fun trip! Getting sick sucks, though; I hope recovery is swift. Someone inside thinks soup might help, but I dunno.

Today's been okay. Did the part time job this morning. It went okay. When I came home, the parents brought home groceries and I had a apple. Now I'm hanging out in the living room, just kind of idly sitting while the TV runs.

Doing some self introspection-- I am like... 98% sure the me I am is actually a subsystem which has been something I've wondered before, quite a lot often, but recent stuff has kinda made it apparent.
Also figured out something about like. I guess you'd call them layers or something-- basically me and the folks I know are on the middle one, and there's folks below us and at least one guy above. There's even someone watching over the upper and lower levels. It's been pretty wild to realize that something I've had inkling of being true for 3 years is actually true.

Tomorrow I have to work on some writing for my other job and I'm like. Do I Have To. Which ... yes I do. And I will. I just gotta complain first, haha. Hope everyone is doing okay, and that you all have a nice week, or at least can make it through. I am cheering you all on, in any case.

I'm feeling absolutely drained today, seems to be only me about but last week was busy (for us) and we're paying for it now with the chronic fatigue. The Tinnitus is bad today too from overdoing things.

Hoping once cooler weather comes our way we may recover more energy! Need to get back to the physio program but its hard when you have no spare energy to get started! Today we only have enough 'spoons' for one of us to be out to walk Mr Woof.. we'll get something to eat and go back to bed I think!

Well we got some good news for a change! :D Audiology have agreed to let us trial some newer hearing aids that that can programmed to match a persons tinnitus frequency exactly (so not just a standard white noise, that has now apparently been proven to make it worse!).

Our appointment is the end of this month! They have agreed to do the hearing test as a home visit and take new imprints for (ear) moulds but then will need to program the aids via the computer in the hospital dept before bringing them back out to us...they can then be fine tuned via an app (they are bluetooth enabled) and they will come and show us how to do that!

We were surprised and delighted as had only asked about new ear moulds as ours are giving us itchy ears and the Tinnitus is driving us nuts when we have to leave them out for long. If these work it should reduce the amount of dissociation we have to cope with and improve our ability to think straight and organise ourselves better we hope! We then only have to cope with the physical pain from the arthritis when we have flareups but that is kind of more predictable (as its worse when its wet- heavy rain or freezing cold temps) We got ourselves some bamboo arthritis (fingerless) gloves for winter in the hope they will reduce pain/inflammation but still be able to use our hands for gaming and art (keeping our mind busy and the depression at bay).

We may be less dependent on the inner world to keep our mind active, if we can do more in the outer world to keep dementia at bay

Thank you, I hope they work too, we can only get white noise masking with the current ones and one has broke so only one works. Being able to connect to an app and have independant volume for each ear will hopefully help reduce it on both sides. I think the first appointment will just be the hearing test and taking moulds..I'm not sure whether we get them that day or not.

I'm glad things are going better for you and hope you've managed to still find time for yourself after your family returned from holidays.
