@ Jody - It took some time to find our system's best social people. I know I'm better with people than Imre. Still, he likes to come out more than I do. (Shrugs.) Marcella, Imre and I are WAY better with people than our old host. I don't know how we ended up with the hosts we did, but you just have to give people a chance and, if they don't work out, you keep looking until you find someone who does. You guys can do it.

Had a ruitine medical procedure done today. Just checking to make sure our liver is healthy as one of our arthritis pills can mess with that. We always admire the 12-year-old kid who comes out to handle this situation. Anyone else would have a fit, but this guy takes it like it's nothing. So glad we can rely on him.

That's all I have to say.

- Spock

@ Grem - So glad you are enjoying your friends' diversity! It's so cool when people from different cultures can connect and share. I'm also glad that Kat has reached out to you. Finding a new alter is always special.

yeah, it is. he didn't reach out to me specifically, but he reached out to my friends in the community i'm in and i read a bit through his messages and such. i'm not entirely sure how to reach him, even if i did i'd be very nervous about talking to him because of social anxiety, haha. but yeah, it's interesting to find new alters. we're already sure that we have 100+ that we haven't been able to find/meet yet, we've just only met about 60 so far. we're fairly sure we're on the polyfragmented side of things, which is real fun (sarcasm) because it means we have so many alters and fragments that we probably won't be able to keep up. but oh well, that's life for ya sometimes, haha.

Thanks. Our most socially skilled was Thea. She was the one who attended a residential college and university so she lived with RL others. Wasn't aware of the autism or 'others inside her' was just a kind of 'social front ANP' who just never got chance to 'get off stage' as other students were always around us expecting us to interact. She however believed she was Deaf (in a cultural sense) and that was her identity, sign language was her language and she tended to only live with and socialise with other deaf students (although a few hearing ones hung out with the group in general who were training to be interpreters cos they liked to get the practice in)

I did sometimes find myself out when Thea had too much to drink, when out with friends at night, so would often find I was suddenly out front in a pub or club surrounded by other drunk people!! As we had no understanding that we were a 'system though and were often only 'triggered out' one at a time and with no knowledge of how to get to the front I never got chance to stay out long or meet other alters or bond with any of the 'real life friends' Thea had made.

Thea has been dormant many years as we've been isolated from the deaf community for many years, plus the 'deaf friend' betrayed her, then Kit found her way to the front, started researching and found what we in fact had, was some kind of auditory processing issue due to the autism.

last night husband was talking, and it was all sort of hard stuff and i started to feel overwhelmed from it, and then when i went to do something with the water, i don't know what now, when the water went on my hands i couldn't feel it. so soon after i told my husband i couldnt talk anymore, was super in a weird place all night.
and then checking on my dad who I am caregiver for due to difficult circumstance, i had found he had a fall. feeling very overwhelmed right now, not sure what will happen tomorrow, but at a feeling of hitting yet another 'limit,' of what i can handle.

Hope things improve for you spinningtops.

We saw our T this morning. It was less exhausting than last week, so we don't need to interrupt our day with a nap today. But we're being careful to take breaks and to reward the littles for letting us get things done. We bought a special large cookie that they like a lot, and just ate some. The husband is away, so we have extra chores to do, but we're managing.

We are experiencing a lot of structure shifts due to the latest therapy exercises. It is surprising how strongly we react to them and the amount of stuff re-surfacing (memories, thoughts, emotions, body reactions...) through them. But they come at a rythm that allows us to face them, analyse them, understand them, process them.

A lot of things start to make sense inside. It's a bit fuzzy and chaotic but in a good way.

Having an okay day but felt bad earlier. Mostly just worrying about not being able to handle the kind of life we want, but we found solace in some songs we happened to hear on the radio and calmed down. (We only listen to a station that is inspirational. It really helps.) This was triggered by the past two nights' worth of dreams. First night was a dream about preparing a forever home with a husband. (We're currently single.) This included planning the nursery, triggering fear and doubt about having kids. Last night featured a dream about visiting a college to decide if we wanted to attend it. At this point, we have no idea what we'd do with a college education as the only career we ever wanted starts you out with things that only able-bodied young people would put up with. We are in our thirties and NOT able-bodied. So, yeah, much frustration in that we want a life we may never have ...

Saw the psychiatrist today. We're finally being weaned off the awful drug that makes us want to lie in bed all day, every day. It's sad because this drug once gave us a life, now it's taken what little life we had left away. :( Maybe now we'll be able to get on our toes again, if not our feet.

We split off a new alter today. She is a cute, yellow duck named Sibil. (Yeah, we know this name can refer to something negative in the DID world, but she likes it.) I think that puts us at 35 or 36 traditional-type alters, not counting fictives and some others we find a little odd for DID. Anyway, she has an outgoing personality and I like her. :) Plus, she's so darn cute!

Hoping everyone else is having a good day.

can't believe I managed to snag the spot for the first post on this account

there has been a lot less going on in our life but a ton going on internally. this month ended up being a complete mess, but we managed to clean it all up eventually. I have really high hopes for the next month. I think with everything we encounter that's negative, there's always something that's positive.

I wish we could get out more since we really do need a way to relax and have fun. our host is very apprehensive about the idea. but, trying new things has been really prominent for us this month. maybe it'll carry over to next month too?

anyways, hope you're all doing well

We really do enjoy the name "Sibil" it's very cute! Welcome Sibil!

DID alters that are "odd"? You mean, regular alters? xD The human mind is odd and does a fudgeload of odd things all the time. One more, one less...

Don't be sad your medication is no longer useful. It helped you at some point, and that is awesome! Now you can thank it and let it go, knowing that if you might need it again later in life, you can talk about it with your psychiatrist. It's okay to need different things at different times in life. After all, sun screen in summer, anti-frost cream in winter, works better than the other way around!

***
Went for a walk in the forest with the group of disabled people yesterday. It was nice. I had not felt my qilin body (as in, phantom limb sensations) in quite a while, it was nice to be positively triggered for a change! Plus, the ice cream sold at the farm's booth was DELICIOUS. Not too much sugar, just enough creamy texture, and sooo much taste!

I tried some buckwheat ice cream. Did not know it was possible. It was like eating "kaletez" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaletez ) but in ice cream form. SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!! I'm still shivering all over from pleasure at the memory of the taste.

I also took more than 150 pictures of the forest. No I'm not kidding. It was like "Google Street View" for a forest walk. Also since I had visited the place already a few years ago, I remembred a couple things about some local interesting buildings, so I acted at some sort of tourist guide for the group. The organizers were struggling with the brochures while I was pointing here and there explaining stuff. Though I also paid attention of also explaining when I was in doubt, when I knew there was something to explain that I did not remember, "And do not hesitate to have a look at the brochure you might find the info in it" and so on.

After explaining a couple things on a stained glass window, I turned around, and noticed the crowd was twice as big as our little group: other tourists had joined to listen! :O

With another group member we'll try to organize coming back in the off season in september to hire a proper guide and get to hear the full story. Fingers crossed it can happen!

People always give you some $#%^ about how they love you but it's all just crap! They're just probing your ######6 defences. You try and then they say it's not enough and dump a load of their $#%^ on you. THEIR $#%^. We're SO done with that.
