I do a lot of sugar free baking. I just eat far more veggies and far less ice cream. Raw food is better than cooked food. Consider making fresh fruit and veggie juice combos. My fav is carrot apple celery juice. It is very low calorie and great in fiber-which helps maintain sugar levels instead of up and down levels which make us diabetics feel like dookie.

There are no special recipes for type I diabetics, the best thing is to eat healthily and test your blood sugar every day.

Testing- have a block but aim to do more testing..once a month would be an improvement. I eat right I just don't test often and I should. I have dropped 50 pounds since I became diabetic 5 years ago.

My ex was type I very well controlled and he tested every day some times more than once. You must test more.
How many jabs do you have a day, he had one before every meal.
You must doing things right as you have lost weight.
