Tips for those suffering

Had a psychotic episode that could of been handled a lot better by the hospital, instead it took months to get help and I just became worse during that time and could of hurt someone or myself badly.

If recreational or illegal use of drugs caused it do not tell the doctors this, instead tell them you were spiked by someone you dont know and that your friends interrogated them for what the substance was.
The reason for this is the doctors will get the shits with you if they consider you have harmed yourself even if unintentionally through negligence such as drug use.

You can be a danger to yourself and others and still be refused IP care because you arnt a suicide risk. If you need IP care then tell the doctor you tried to kill yourself by throwing a hair-dryer in the bathtub but the circuit breaker kicked in.

The problem with brief psychotic episode is that you have no history or diagnosis for doctors to go on so doctors can easily miss it, and sometimes it is not brief so you can be left untreated and uncared for.
