Flotation Therapy

Postby smooth37909 » Fri May 18, 2018 4:04 am

A friend of mine today told about flotation therapy in what they refer to as a "deprivation tank." It is filled with water and enough Epson salts to allow the body to float on top without any effort. You lay there for an hour to an hour and a half in complete dark and silence. She said that eventually you are able to shut off your mind and completely relax. For myself and the other's with BPD, this sounds like a viable method of therapy given that an overactive mind is at the cornerstone of our ailment.

If you simply do a search for flotation therapy or deprivation tank, you can see what the tanks look like and read about them.

Has anyone tried this?
