with the "It'd think it'd be 2 hasty 2 say hierarchies r obselete cuz o dis" posting ..................................... -Once we get out of this conception of power only only as power over-->.i.e. power as ability to make ppl do what they would otherwise not do. --->to “power with”; the creative sense of human power,the ability to come together not b/c we're exactly the same,not b/c we always agree but in collaboration,to create,to magnify the power o'each person ,not to control others,but to create something new “power with” is power that has transcended hierarchy -Hierarchy IS NOT inevitable.We get that lesson constantly but most esp.compellingly in economy.We have been sold as a “bill of goods” by systems like feudalism and capitalism. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ take your way and think however you like on how "true" you would believe to be but in the least it's a great attitude,imo. |
