I can think good things.I can think bad things.Do I have faith in it?.I can believe good things.I can believe bad things.Do I have faith in it?.I can write good things.I can write bad things.Do I have faith?.I can say good things.I can say bad things.Do I have faith?. I can act on good things.I can act on bad things.Do I have faith?.I can do inaction now.I can do inaction later.Do I have faith?. In moe crass terms I internally "act like a little b---h" when I get a bad mark and realize how I start projecting my dislike of failure onto myself and God^1 b/c not only a I not used to nearly failing, don't want to fail in classes I actually like but am not used to finding a way to shrug off failure. ![]() ![]() The corporate conspiring in the movie reminds me of the little bits of "Michael Clayton" that I've seen, way back. ^1 This I'll admit adding a part to my occasional bouts of misotheism `_` |

![]() "Demonstration of understanding of the story 3.5/5 - I wanted to see more detail from the story used in your explanations" ![]() ^u^ OH THANK YOU MISS While we were talking about the highly contentious deed that made up the dialogue in a Hemingway short story with the word "elephant" today ^1 But you gave us an extention to the essay on a "cultural force" in Dracula toda, extending it to Wednesday even though we've been sorta jerks with taking various Valentine's chocolates, most of us not having read Dracula enough to let us off after the first 6 chapters even though readig is sorta the whole point of a literature class but AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH xD such a blessing!.This from a guy who got to class at nea last minutes b/c he thought he wasn't gonna be able to finish up his developmental psych assignment before 4 (b/c I dont know when the class ends) and thus subitted it at ~1:13 taking chances with bus timing as a result of the dash to make it to a 2 pm class. ^1 ![]() ![]() |

Blog Subject: | After the 1st group dynamics test |
I just finished my group dynamics test @3 without doing a full check over of my scantron and on paper responses to the multiple choice test.Love the class, like the language of the test even though that is what makes it tricky. There are answers that are more alluring to me b/c of how I know (or at least "think) them to be true.I work thru it okay but there some some ambiguity with the answers. Better than the "soch"^1 where my first mark on test I got back was almost 66% =_= .I personally am a bit angry at myself. For one I LOVE sociology^2 but on the other hand I can see how I screwed up with the English homework I was mediocrely rushing thru last week ^3 which reminded me that my soch test was that week in the class straight after group dynamics but I was "overconfident"/ underestimating it enough that I didn't study for it esp.in the face of other hefty work. ![]() I'm not in soch right now b/c I came outta the group dynamics test which takes an hour while the soch class is at 4.I'd describe the group dynamics test as a variant of sociology which with it's orientation of purpose of small groups and interpreting small groups is sorta like soch from an wholly (symbolic interactionist?) perspective with bits of psych^4 . Thinking back to yesterday's posting I thought the name "unsolved problems in philosophy" in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unsolved_problems_in_philosophy link makes me laugh b/c in my mind.. "unsolved problems in philosophy ![]() and thinking back to having skimmed thru an earlier blog entry of my mine when I said it was a sham how the computer/info tech programs here accept anyone openly?.The general arts and science program doesn't.It's no sham to how open and accepting they are of ppl who come into to it and pick from the fun stuff they have to offer^5 . I swear.Even though "diminishing returns" comes to mind there's a concept from economics that's socially analogous to spending your time doing something else when you can spend your time doing something more useful (doing what homework I can in an hour rather than blogging for ex. ![]() It's like rolling around my head.I know it's there but the letters that makes the word that encapsulate it aren't there. There's also a specific word for a belief in Christianity for when you think that stuff like miracles ,divine epiphanies to prophets and holy ppl and such only happened in a specific era as well.I saw it once while wondering on Wikipedia ^6 .I don't personally *believe* that to be the case even with the slight nudging in my mind that, that might be the case though I can see how other ppl might think so in that idea. Being introspective on how your "lazy in your own way" so to speak isn't a good way to spend time,eh ^_^ ?. ![]() ^1 shortened phonetic (?) of "socio" from sociology ^2 Oh the things circling around me head delightfully when I think of it and related topics ![]() ^3 I was "scoring" a soundtrack/playlist for one of the short stories we've read in class already."The book of sand" by Jorge Luis Borges is the one I choose but there's still something... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unsolved_problems_in_philosophy <--- ![]() ![]() "Clearly, unsolved philosophical problems exist in the lay sense (e.g. "What is the meaning of life?", "Where did we come from?", "What is reality?", etc.). However, professional philosophers generally accord serious philosophical problems specific names or questions, which indicate a particular method of attack or line of reasoning. As a result, broad and untenable topics become manageable. It would therefore be beyond the scope of this article to categorize "life" (and similar vague categories) as an unsolved philosophical problem." Makes wanna do thought experiments ![]() |
