Gossip is a passive aggressive way to express anger. Humans who regularly engage in gossip are not trustworthy. I prefer to express myself directly. It’s none of my business if someone else wants to gossip though. I’ve got my hands full monitoring my own defects of character, one of which is rage at being subjected to gossip. I need to change the subject or leave the conversation entirely when gossip starts because it enrages me. Gossip enrages me because usually the person doing it is as big of an asshole as the one they’re bitching about.
