Got rid of the Strattera and now onto the Concerta for a couple months, really liking it and I'm able to do work now which is great and it's definitely made me turn onto a new path. Kind of depressed at the moment though which is why I'm writing this post, my family is stressed from bereavement. I don't feel as sad about the deaths personally which is strange, but I do feel sad for my family and I want them to be happy so they can carry on with their lives especially my mom. I don't really know why I feel depressed, probably because I slept until 8pm... yeah I need to get my thyroid checked out again. Blood tests on Wednesday. I also felt like Concerta and the ADHD diagnosis would be the magic pill that would change my life, sure it's helped but not the way you expect it to and it's a lot more subtle. |

Not much else to say really, minimal side effects and less anxiety and restlessness. Concentration and motivation entirely unaffected. I also started to feel some depressive thoughts which I haven't for a while, but it's probably the coursework deadline looming. |

Oops I forgot to update it for the last 5 days. I'm still not experiencing any big negative side effects from Strattera, except for this one time I masturbated and it felt a bit weird after I finished. I feel like it's vastly reduced my restlessness and anxiety, I feel so much better in that regard because I don't have a constant butterfly in my stomach feeling. I also have improved impulse control, I've been spending less money because I think about it more and have also been going to bed at a reasonable time and waking up early. The strattera directly helps this as I tend to wake up around 5-7am naturally which is great and I don't feel so groggy when I wake up. Overall, I'm liking it so far and it's a big change from the horror stories I heard about it. So far it hasn't impacted by motivation massively, so it would be nice to try it with a stimulant. |

So I'm going to try and keep a record of how I'm feeling on strattera. I'm kind of happy I've been started on a low dose so I can see how I react to it. About 30 minutes after ingestion with food I noticed a dry mouth and very slight nausea. I'm not sure how much of this is a placebo, but my mood seems improved slightly and I feel more alert. |
