Blog Subject:  Reincarnation etc..

I'm not entirely sure what I believe really, except that I do believe in an after of some kind.
and not just believe either.. 'know'.

How can it just be this and nothing more? that doesn't make sense to me.

The world exists only within the mind of the person that sees it.. is conscious of it being so.
So when we die, if there's nothing afterwards.. just darkness - or a simple absence of anything, then the world as I.. as you perceive it right now, no longer exists.
For me the world will no longer be anything and that doesn't make sense to me - my consciousness can't just end and not be there.. be here anymore.

Like sleeping and dreaming - when you sleep you live the lives of a hundred different people.. you might be a male or you might be a female.. you might even be a cat or dog, a bird or tree.
But you resurface in the morning after your night-time adventures and you re-connect with your body.. your reality and you continue your life.
and so it is likely to be afterwards as well - in your dreams you just live a different life with different memories and hopes and dreams.. so it is with reincarnation as far as i'm concerned - you fall asleep in this perception of the world for the last time and awake in another with no memory of what came before.

Meh.. i'm likely making no sense i know but it makes sense to me - it makes far more sense that there being nothing afterwards.. :?

Theologically I'm not allowed to believe in reincarnation.

I wish I could, I sort of like the idea of it.

If.... I believed in reincarnation, I recently mapped out my past lives to the 1800s. I was in an interesting mood when I did it, is like things just came to me, and they felt right.

You made sense to me.

Yeah I can't accept the idea of nothing more. That don't work for me. That would be utterly depressing.

Ever seen On A Clear Day? Barbra Streisand movie. Not a huge fan of here but that's my favorite of her films...

That sounds pretty cool - what did you end up with as past lives?
I was probably a cat - lazing in the sunshine, climbing up on walls.. sleeping in cupboards..

Hey.. maybe i'm not an aspie at all - i'm a cat in a human body :p
Certainly explains why I bump myself on things so much.

Hmm do you have a habit of tripping people...?

I tried to link....

It's not working right. My blog, under November 2015.

But the short version is Cherokee woman (died on the Trail of Tears, so basically murdered), infant/child mortality, sex unknown in the Ozarks, Confederate soldier, male (kia), railroad executive, male (suicide), prostitute, female (murdered), me (yet to be determined).

So that goes back to the early 1800s.

If I did believe, it would at least be the Confederate, that was a very, very vivid dream I once had, and even though I was killed in the dream, it wasn't a nightmare- I awoke from it absolutely blown away by the experience.

In an unrelated dream, I once dreamt I was kidnapped, and made into a child again, and then something in the reprogramming broke, and I remembered who I had been, as memories as an adult came flooding back into my child brain. That also, was a dream from which I awoke with a sense of wonder. That could also be construed as some sort of reincarnation scenario, I suppose...]]
