Blog Subject: | Universal credit is a good idea. |
The main goal of universal credit should be the idea that it's easier to bounce from losing one job and later to another job hassle free without poverty traps. You shouldn't really need to talk to anyone coming out of work it should all be automatic. If you've been out of work for six months then someone should come round looking where you need support. Along with a smoother universal credit people between 12 to 16 need more baskets of proper earned work to choose from to outcompete street crime as an income. Housing wise councils need to be able to better match people to services and independent living via private landlords with a scheme for good tenants to get grants along with deals made by the council offering tenants a better chance at the right to buy. |
