Imagine you have two little 3d lines connected now you make the one line equation effect the other line equation more as you graph approachs the point where the two lines intersect. So from 2 lines you get a curve in 3D. Now in order to deal with multiple line intersections in 3d you have to account for all connected line equations. When you are using triangle models it's a cheap way to get curvyness without expending so much computation on nurbs. You can also curve off three Inner triangles as to control the texture mapping to give it more of a curved look. This could be applied well to 3D games from 2005-2021 |
