To draw a quarter of an ellipse on a standard f(x) graph think of it like this. Imagine a horizontal line intersecting the bottom of a quarter of a circle. Now imagine you equate at 50% of the line equation and 50% of the semi circle equation. Depending on what ratio you chose gives you different ellipse quarters. |
