Blog Subject:  *shivers uncontrollably*

If it's gonna be this stinkin' cold, it may as well snow! At least the scenery would look prettier and we'd get off work. But no-ooo, instead it's just cold, everything's ugly and we still have to work.

Blog Subject:  Ungrateful & overprivileged

I'm tribal Native American and I come from one of those reservations that has their own casino and every tribal member gets a per capita check every few months from the casino's profits. This is still a fairly recent thing though as we used to be one of the many reservations that are very poor. :( Thankfully things are a lot better for us now, but you'd think our past would still make all of us humble and thankful for what we have now. But there are some members of my tribe that put us to shame! :x Since the pandemic, business hasn't been the best for our casino and as a result, our per capita has been lower and omg, the tantrums thrown by so many tribal members is un-freaking-believable! God forbid we have even a slightly lesser amount on our per capita checks, then it's the end of the world! :o

Meanwhile, there are still many other reservations out there that don't get squat! Indigenous Americans are the most impoverished demographic in the United States, you can look that up yourself. We're one of the few fortunate reservations but like I said, it hasn't even been that long since we were right down there with the rest. I vividly remember growing up in a trailer with my poor mother raising me on our own breaking her back working two jobs just to barely provide for us. It's absolutely maddening to see the moment we become better off, we act like spoiled brats who so quickly forget what being humble was. ARGH!! It just makes me want to cry sometimes. It's shameful and embarrassing.

They don't deserve their precious per cap checks! They deserve to be left with scraps like we all were years ago so they can be reminded of what being broke was really like. I know it's not nice of me to say, but that's how much it ticks me off.

Blog Subject:  Old iPod

I found my old iPod the other day! I stopped using it a long time ago, around the time I downloaded Spotify on my phone. I was skimming through the music on it and holy crap, so many great songs I had completely forgot about!  :o I'm really happy I found it! Not just for all the forgotten music I'm finding again, but because it brings back a lot of memories. I've had that iPod for so long, it's amazing it's lasted for as long as it has! My friends always gave me crap for using one after they've long been obsolete. I did eventually stop using it, but kept it just for the sentimental value and will continue to do so. <3

Blog Subject:  We get blogs here?!

WOT?!? That's awesome! And helpful! :D I'm trying to get in the habit of using this place more and this gives me another reason to come here. Even though I don't know what I'll blog about yet. I just love having one! Maybe just random thoughts and rants that come to mind. I'll figure it out and add it to my blog description.
