Hello. I am new to the board. I was recently diagnosed with binge eating disorder, so I am fairly new to what most people experience with it. But what my problem is, is a complete fear of starvation. If something happens that I am in a place where I cant get enough food, or dont have time to eat, I binge later to make up for it. I dont binge out of boredom, or to fill an emotional void, or even for the taste, I binge because I am terrified of feeling hungry, even a little bit. And as I have heard some bullemics say that they purge to get rid of the uncomfortable full feeling, but I love the full uncomfortable feeling, in fact it's the only time I dont feel like I'm starving. I dont crave sweets either, for me it is all comfort foods. I like to make sure I have 3 full course meals per day, and I load my plate. I am just wondering if this is common with binge eating disorder, or if anyone can relate to me. I was diagnosed with several other disorders as well including a personality disorder. Any thoughts/ comments are appreciated.
