COVID-19: Binge Eating

Postby CammieMe » Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:38 pm

Ever since the lockdowns happened, we only have so much to do, and most of us had the tendency to turn to binge eating which made us gain weight.

How do you control binge eating? Or do you guys lean more toward eating healthy? Do you do some exercises?

Hey,

I know how you feel, ive been struggling since lockdown too. I try not to keep anything im likely to binge on in the house and i know trying to eat little and often is supposed to help. but i know thats all easier said than done. Do you keep a journal? i find writing helps me get out whatever im feeling and i am less likely to binge, its also a good distraction.
If i think of anything else that may help i will post here.

Hugs

Hi Willow,

Thank you for your response.

No, I haven't started writing yet, but I've read a short article recently that says writing indeed could save us mentally from this pandemic.

Here it is.

If it's not too much to ask, please share articles or anything I could read for motivation. There are good days and bad days. Sometimes, we wake up happy and determined, but there are just these lazy days. :(

Again, Thank you so much for noticing my post. Have a great day!

Hey there @CammieMe,

Stay away from the kitchen as much as you can. Distract yourself from it. I suggest painting. You wouldn't wanna eat with your hands all colorful with paint. Oh and don't paint foods.

Wish you the best!

Hi @calmkooky,

Thanks! I would try to do that. I'm distracting myself as much as I can, and so far, I don't think about food that often as before. I figured there's a lot to do besides eating if you really focus on your health.

Stay safe!
