What works for me. 3 meals a day, as much/whatever I want.

This is what I try to do, it's not perfect, but I'm not left feeling very deprived and I enjoy life still but at the same time there are boundaries that keep me from just constantly eating:

My rules for myself:
Eat 3 separate meals a day. No more, no less.
Eat as much as I want/can eat in one sitting/period of time.
No snacking in between meals.
Eat whatever I want. Like, WHATEVER.
The one time I can snack is if right before I'm going to sleep I'm suddenly hungry, I can have some crackers until I'm not hungry anymore.

Like I said it's not perfect. I still eat "bad" foods, and I still can overeat in one sitting, but as long as I'm done with the meal, I'm DONE and no snacking until my next meal. And I have to spread my meals out throughout the day or else I'll get too hungry in between! So that's a good thing.

Anyway, do you guys have any thoughts on this?

I like the idea of eating whatever you want :)

But are you trying to lose weight or not gain any?

They always say you should listen to your body and it will tell you what it needs. I would not manage with these rules as it's just not me. But if it works for you and you're happy, I say that's as good a plan as any.
