Looking for D/S contract

Postby SubinDoubt » Fri Nov 20, 2015 3:09 am

Hi,

Where can I find a D/S contract, something comprehensive like the one in 50 Shades or even something better? Or is there anyone who can send me a copy that I can use?

Thank you.

Hello SubinDoubt, I hope that I'm able to help you with your desire for a contract.

Contracts are actually rarely written beforehand and are generally personalized by each individual Dominant for his or her submissive(s). If you recall, in 50 Shades of Grey Christian Grey wrote the contract initially and simply re-used it for every submissive after his first. As much as 50 Shades of Grey gets wrong about BDSM this is something that's fairly accurate: If you want a contract or your Dominant wants you to have a contract, he or she should be the one to draft it, you both should look over it, make any appropriate edits, and then sign it.

If you're looking for a contract in order to aid you with determining what are/ are not your limits, then you're actually looking more for a BDSM checklist than a contract. Here are some sample checklists I've been able to locate. I'm not sure the quality of any of these (as I don't really use checklists with my submissive), but they seem to be at least fairly comprehensive and will hopefully be helpful. Please not that some of the checklists are embedded into the site as word documents (which I can't exactly link to properly here) so if the link doesn't take you directly to a checklist scroll down for the link.

I hope that helped. Good luck with everything!

Best of luck and best wishes,

Thank you MJH. My Dom has asked me to draft a contract and I needed a guide. Thanks again for the checklist.

Forgive me, I am also new to this lifestyle, but I find this strange. You are a new submissive with an experienced Dom, and he asked you to sign a contract already? Have you done scenes with him? With anyone?

IMO yes, I would start with something more like an informal checklist, and ideally it's something you work on together. With me, since I'm new, my Dom and I both put together some rules for each other and discussed each one. I felt happy agreeing to all of mine, they were all really healthy. He was actually more lenient (and realistic) than I was -- "This is a hard one. Are you sure you want to commit to this? Let's modify it." It was a fun and friendly exercise.

I like the novice agreement here: http://badgirlsbible.com/bdsm-contract. It really just helps define some basics, addresses medical questions, and gets the conversation started about limits and fears.

No, I haven't played any scene with him. The plan was for me to fully understand what I am getting into or to sort of find out if I will ever be comfortable with a D/S relationship. I am the one creating the contract, not him. So I set the terms, sort of.
