Autistic Teenager

Postby TameQueen » Tue May 09, 2017 4:52 am

I have a sibling who is diagnosed with ASD. He's also sick, and requires life sustaining medication in which he refuses to take. My parents are neglectful to say the least. Is there a way that I can reason with him? He's angsty as hell so it doesn't help.

Print out some information and hand it to him.

He might not be able to process what you're saying if he regards you as irritating or something, but if you give him information about his meds and what will happen if he doesn't take them, it might be more helpful in persuading him.

Does he like things done to a set schedule at all? if so, then set an alarm for him each day so that he's alerted when it's meds time.

Do you mind me asking what he's sick with? xx
